The center's goals are as follows:

The objectives of the Crime & Justice Centre in Nigeria are multi-faceted and aimed at strengthening the country’s criminal justice system and promoting regional cooperation in Africa and the Middle East.

The center seeks to play a pivotal role in the reform efforts of Nigeria’s criminal justice system, addressing issues such as inefficiencies, inequities, and deficiencies.

Supporting criminal justice institutions to comply with extant laws:

The center will work towards ensuring that criminal justice institutions in Nigeria adhere to existing laws and regulations, promoting transparency and accountability.
